Happy New Year, everyone!!

We've been having a few technical difficulties here, but thanks to Eric & Bruce we seem to have all of our data (pictures!!) back and are up and running again. I was too lazy to post on here, and also lost all of my Mozzilla bookmarks so I haven't been able to check anyone's blogs either, kind of a pain. I know Aunt Joann is waiting for pics of Scott & Anna's wedding which are temporarily missing...i don't know how that happened but I will try to find them and post them soon!! what follows is a bit of a random post as i find pictures while trying to clean up my hard drive (thanksgiving pics still coming, Lor - heheh, obviously i feel guilty that i haven't posted them yet when i promised to do it, sorry)
Kev was excited to take the kids to visit Uncle Steve at the fire hall on his Christmas holidays :)

Ashleigh was very thrilled to try everything but surprisingly it was Jaden who couldn't lose the worried face and was too scared to do anything without being forced. He kept saying "where's my mommy" :) He loves fire trucks so much this was surprising, but i think he was just overwhelmed by it all.

very cool - congratulations, Steve! :)The unorganization of this post from now on might be annoying but Blogger hasn't been cooperating with me, so here goes...annual dinner at the Mandarin with my whole family, in honour of my Mom's birthday Dec. 29. a treat just to be all together again, much less all that food. yum yum. :)

formal intro, blog friends, to Louise's boyfriend (not only good looking but a talented hanger-of-doors, i might add :) )

sweet baby Sierra (such the spitting image of Steve, its remarkable)

darling Joshua

this was taken in the fall, I thought it was cute enough to post so late
a very rare siblings picture. I don't like it though, we will do a better one...someday, maybe if ever there is another family wedding :)
summertime memories, i love eating outside.
one stinky Christmas...
this (taken in 2007) turned out to be a bad idea. Letting him go free, that is. It appears that he returned to the little nook he found as a baby. He jumped into one of our window wells, ripped the screen to shreds again (that we had replaced in 2007, thankfully the window was closed) and let loose on our house. It was unbearable for days, and still stinks despite my trying absolutely EVERYTHING to get rid of it, kind of hard since it is on the brick, in the dirt, etc. This explains if you think that sometimes you smell skunk when we're around :). It happened Christmas morning, what a dreadful gift that was. Especially for me wiht my ultra-sensitive nose. It shouldn't happen again though, unfortunately for mr. skunko this time Steve wasn't so friendly with him. (obviously there is no way of confirming that the baby skunk pictured here is the same one that sprayed all over our house, but we're guessing. And hoping, so that it won't happen again, of course just to be safe we will be covering the window wells somehow. its on the priority-to-do-list :) )
and more from the Mandarin...

hope you're all well! Have a great week :)

Oh Carole, how horrible about the skunk! Our cat has had a couple of run-ins with a skunk, and has had to stay outside for a few weeks before the smell wears off (thankfully it never happened in winter). The skunk was in your house then? How did you catch it this time? Did the fearless (crazy!!) Steve pick it up again?

I was sad not to make it to the Mandarin, but the rest of the evening was lovely. Looking forward to coming to Home # 2!

Isaac loved the pictures of Jaden and the firetruck. I asked him if he wanted to see and he seemed a little nervous too:) Also, beautiful picture of your family. You have a wonderful, godly & beautiful family. I am glad to enjoy all of you as my friends:)

I didn't hear about the return of the skunk! That's terrible!

Nice pictures - I liked the one of Jaden pulling Josh in the wagon. :)
